How to sound more sophisticated by changing one letter:
LOL → LQL
Laughing Out Loud? Psh.
Laughing Quite Loudly.
Time to get to fucking work.
In the past week, I’ve had my heart stepped on, a small dream of mine crushed, and endured varying degrees of bullshit under the guise of “inevitability.” Well fuck that noise; these things make me a stronger person, but in the sense that I won’t just sit here and ignore them anymore. It’s time to be productive, starting with this post.
The following is a list of the various projects I’ve had in the works for, well, quite some time now, and most of them have made absolutely no progress in an embarrassing amount of time. But that won’t stop me from working on them as they’re the only thing keeping me going at the moment. I had meant to type them up earlier, but now the time finally feels right.
1. Synth Caster - My longest on-going project, it’s a story set in the distant future, after mankind has only recently overcome the results of a nuclear holocaust that no one ever really discovered the cause for. The main character, Tohibi, a native of Japan and his group of 5 friends (who all wind up in Tokyo with him for their own reasons) must stop an evil madman with amazing powers, Rintoh, from causing mass chaos on a global scale.
2. Chaos Chord - Johnny Rock is a simple man with a simple dream: To become the front man of history’s greatest Battle Band! Another story set in the future (albeit a not-too-distant one), Chaos Chord is set in a world where people can no longer be entertained by regular band anymore, and the medium has changed to cater to society’s lust for violence. The Battle Band Circuit is formed, where bands fight each other on stage while performing their songs. The story follows Johnny’s rise to greatness as he forms his legendary band and competes in the Band Battle Circuit. This whole story heavily operates off the “Rule of Cool,” i.e. if it’s cool enough, it can theoretically happen, physics or logic be damned.
3. Circuit Breaker - Unlike the rest of my projects, this one is a video game, one with heavy inspiration from the MegaMan series, my personal favorite. Dr. Cogsmith creates an amazing little robot named Sparky, capable of making hard light constructs, gaining praise and recognition on a global scale. His creation is so innovative, it makes all other robots obsolete and puts Cogsmith’s biggest rival, Dr. Gearfried, out of business! Swearing revenge, Dr. Gearfried commands his robotic creations to wreak havoc across the city, even injuring Dr. Cogsmith in the process! Sparky, with his unique abilities, decides only he can stop his rampage, and sets out to stop the robots and bring Dr. Gearfried in. The game will use many mechanics seen in MegaMan platformers, but with enough new twists and increased difficulty to please more hardcore players.
I have more things to add to this list, but I will add them at a later date. For now, feel free to ask about any of these 3 projects if you have any questions or feedback for me. And remember, don’t take shit lying down. Get up and do something about it.
jh-kael asked: Nice concept, and I'm loving the technique
But that's no gary busey
Gary Busey isn’t insane because I think he’s fully aware of how insane he acts. Mr. Sheen is oblivious to his own delusions.
Although now I would like to do a Gary Busey version of this piece. My body will never be ready.
